Media & Conversation

I join the inimitable Dr. Jamie Pei on her podcast, notes on being unruly, for an inspiring conversation about leaving academia, following your curiosity and joy, honoring lived experience in your research, and staying open. A wonderful friend and inspiring colleague, be sure to give her a follow!

I join my teacher Dr. Josephine Hardman on her podcast, Inner Work: A Spiritual Growth Podcast, to talk about the “call” of the Records, my own evolution as a seeker, and how I use the Records to help others. A true honor to share my experiences with a teacher who has made a big impact on my healing and growth!

When I was still an active academic, I had the great pleasure of joining J. Brown on his podcast, J. Brown Yoga Talks. We talk about a theoretical framework for theories of play and flow and how to access what we might consider the “mind state” of play. A great conversation putting theory into action!

Folks occasionally ask if there are videos or recordings out there of me during my performance career, and the answer is yes! My Soundcloud is still up, and there are some videos floating around on YouTube as well.

If you’d like to check out my Soundcloud, follow this link.

Another question I occasionally get is if folks can read any of my academic writing. As far as I know, only two of my academic writings are available for free via download. Please know, for the academics in your life, none of us are seeing any money from publishing in journals! I’m even in a hardcover volume, and I didn’t get paid for that. It’s considered part of the work in the field. Every academic I know is always excited when someone asks about our writing and publications, so, at least for me, it’s ok to ask, but always remember to cite us if you use our ideas.
